Hi Everyone,
My name is Thy Le. I am a senior student majoring in Biochemistry and Computer Science. I aspire to become a research scientist and am planning to attend graduate school in fall 2024. I am interested in leveraging big data and computer simulation to gain insight into disease development and RNA evolution, to assess risk factor and discover new drug. On campus, I have been working as a tutor and teaching assistant for several years.
It is pretty clear that I don’t know much about US history due to my background and even more so as an international student. However, I think that it would be great to take interesting classes outside of my disciplines to learn more about the world, the past, and the fact. Therefore, through this class, I hope to gain some basic knowledge about the culture and the structural society of Native Americans.
