My name is Theodore Lazarz, I go by Theo and I was raised here in Galesburg. I was born in the suburbs of Chicago, but my family moved here with me as an infant so we could be closer to the rest of my mothers family. I am a sophomore here at Knox and am currently undecided on a major, however I have interest in Environmental Science and agriculture in general. I am also interested in music as a hobby, I have taken courses in the past on music theory and am learning to play the guitar. I have never taken a history course specifically on Native American history before which is what interested me in the class. Additionally, I feel like Native American history was pretty glossed over in high school, so I’m glad I’ll get the chance to be better informed in this subject. Which pretty much explains my past with this topic, it’s unfortunate that such an intricate and beautiful portion of history is not more readily accessible to people.
