When i first learned about Christopher Columbus I was probably in 2nd or 3rd grade. We probably had a brief discussion on what he accomplished and how his was successful.i also read a book that was a biography of his life that was called “I am Christopher Columbus” in 5th or 6th grade and didn’t learn much in there that was different that what I have already been told or have had read. Some of the immediate things that come to mind are that he was considered to be the first person to travel to the americas. Some of the other things that come to mind are that the pilgrims and the Indians did not get along. Most of the things that come to mind are looped together with some sort of holiday like thanksgiving. Christopher Columbus was often referred to as a lunatic and a person who started the oppression of the Indians throughout my early days in highschool and in my later days of highschool he was said to be a holy advocate and that he was against the oppression of the indians. Either way the past cant be rewound or changed but if it could I would love tp get to see the first thanksgiving and multiple other events.
