Hello!

My name is Alenis, and I like to go by Leni. For my academic interests, I prefer to take English and history over math and science. I’m a first-year student at Knox, and my major is journalism. In my free time, I like to read, watch Netflix, and hang out with friends. I look forward to learning about important Native American figures that aren’t talked about enough. I personally had an unfortunate experience learning about Native American history because my high school didn’t offer many history classes. It was briefly mentioned in my U.S. history class, but only for a day and not necessarily a whole unit. I have a lot to learn about Native American history, and I am really looking forward to taking this class to expand my knowledge because not everyone has the opportunity.
