Hello, my name is Joshua Knight. I am a first-year student From East Peoria Illinois. Academically my interests lie within the science field. I have always had a great interest in science. I want to be a pharmacist so I plan to graduate from Knox with a biochemistry degree. Outside of school, I have a great interest in sports. I play both baseball and football for the school. I am a catcher and a safety respectively. I have played sports since I was very little and they have always been my biggest passion. I also enjoy spikeball video games and music with my favorite artist being JID.
Regarding this course, I am very excited to become better educated about many aspects of native american and indigenous history. I like to hear about how different tribes operate both within the same region and also in distant areas the idea of specialization and diversity between tribes interests me.
My previous Knowledge of native american history is minimal and almost nonexistent. I took AP U.S. History in high school and we touched on Native Americans slightly but I do not remember much from this class. Most of my knowledge can be summed up to the trail of tears. I also have some limited knowledge about the Aztecs but it is more fun fact information than anything.
